The Moshi District Commissioner (DC), Dr Ibrahim Msengi, has commended the management of Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) for complementing government efforts in improving health services delivery.
He made the remarks over the weekend after receiving a donation of 210 mattresses and 200 mosquito nets for Huruma Hospital in Rombo District and Kyaseni Health Centre, all worth 20m/-. The DC called upon others to emulate TBL so as to help health facilities offer quality services. Dr Msengi handed over the donation to the Regional Medical Officer, Dr Mwako Mtumwa, for distribution to the intended beneficiaries.
She thanked TBL for realizing the importance of the donated materials for the improvement of the sick's health. Handing over the mattresses and mosquito nets, TBL Director for Corporate Affairs and Legal Services, Mr Steve Kilindo, who was accompanied by TBL Corporate Services Responsibility Officer, Ms Doris Malulu, revealed that last year, TBL donated mattresses and mosquito nets to Kilema and Bomang'ombe hospitals all worth 20m/-.
Representatives from Kyaseni and Huruma were all tears of joy after they received the donation, expressing gratitude to TBL for being so generous.
