Cotonou, Benin - Two persons - Commander Pamphile Zomahoun, a close ally of President Yayi Boni, and an accounting expert, Johannes Dagnon - were Friday arrested and detained for what authorities called a 'breach of public safety'.
Dagnon is a cousin to Patrice Talon, who was recently accused being behind a plot to poison President Boni.
The two men, previously arrested and detained on 22 February, had their offices and homes searched and sources told PANA that nothing incriminating was found during the searches.
Instead, the search on Dagnon's house only revealed huge sums of money, above what is allowed to be kept at home.
Meanwhile, PANA has learnt that a new international arrest warrant had been issued against Talon, in connection with the alleged attempt to poison Yayi through her nephew and personal doctor.
