Tripoli Libya - The official spokesperson for the Libyan Defence ministry, Colonel Adel al-Baress, has said that Libya has refused a French request to set up a military base in the south of the country.
Al-Baress on Thursday denied that there are French forces or bases in southern Libya.
He, however. said that Libya had presented to the United Nations a project on the surveillance of its borders.
The project will help Libyan forces located in the south of the country to secure the borders after their training on the detection of movements and violations facing Libya’s borders.
