Brussels, Belgium - Mali's minister of foreign affairs, Tienan Hubert Coulibaly and that of the Economy and Finance, Tienan Coulibaly, on Wednesday participated in a meeting in Brussels that is a prelude to the international donors' conference by the European Union scheduled for May in the Belgian capital.
European members in charge of development in 27 EU member states participated in the meeting presided over by Andris Piebalgs, the European Commissioner for Development.
According to a document released at the end of the meeting, participants decided to give priority to the health and education sectors, before the resumption of large-scale immunization campaigns.
The agricultural sector would be supported by the provision of seeds and fertilizer to farmers to prevent future food crises, the documents said.
Other aid programmes to be implemented include governance, specially technical assistance to the management of public finance.
