Black Stars defender Paintsil 'doing well' after being rushed to hospital - Black Stars defender John Paintsil was on Tuesday rushed to a hospital in Accra, Ghana, after he apparently collapsed at home, local radio stations reported, but added that he is doing well.
The broadcasts said he was rushed to the Ghana-Canada hospital at East Legon in Accra by his wife and relatives.
He has since been discharged but there is no information on his illness.
Paintsil, 31, was in the news last Friday afternoon when police arrested him for assaulting his wife and causing bodily harm.
He was granted bail and was due at the Legon Police station to sign a bond of good behaviour on Tuesday.
Paintsil, who plays professional football in Israel, has delayed his return to Israel because of an injury he picked during the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.
