Kigali, Rwanda - Four persons were killed and dozens of others injured following the torrential rain which pounded the Rwandan capital, Kigali, Saturday, according to Theos Badege, a spokesman of the Rwandan police.
The most affected are the hundreds of families settled in marshy areas in the slums of Kigali and its surroundings, according to Badege, who added that many families have been rendered homeless while many more are still missing.
The resultant floods also damaged roads and bridges, Badege said.
