Black Stars defender John Paintsil arrested for assault.
Black Stars defender John Paintsil was on Friday arrested in Accra by police assault and causing bodily harm, the Greater Accra Region Poliuce Public Relations Officer said.
He said Paintil was arrested for stabbing his wife, Richlove, on Friday afternoon at their plush residential area in the capital.
An Accra-based radio station, Joy FM, quoting sources said the cause of the misunderstanding between the couple was not clear. Police have described the incident as a domestic quarrel.
Police will determine whether or not he should be granted bail.
