Boni Yayi to attend 3rd ASA Summit in Malabo.
President Boni Yayi of Benin will visit Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, where he take part in the summit of Heads of State and Government of the South America-Africa Cooperation Forum (ASA), slated for Friday.
According to a communiqué from the Beninese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued here Tuesday, the summit will afford ASA leaders the opportunity to adopt legal documents establishing the inter-continental institution.
Participants will also to discuss ways and means of strengthening South-South cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the Istanbul plan of action.
Launched in 2006, the ASA forum is aimed at strengthening cooperation between South America and Africa in several areas, including political, economic and cultural fields.
