International - The Governments of Angola and Brazil agreed on Tuesday in Luanda to set an acting joint defence committee to supervise the co-operation actions, through annual meetings to be held in both countries, Angop has learnt.
The fact is expressed on a final communiqué delivered to Angop, after official talks between delegations of both countries, led by the ministers of Defence of Angola, Candido Pereira Van-Dúnem, and of Brazil, Celso Amorim.
On the area of health, the sides have agreed to set a memo of understanding, due to the importance of the co-operation in this domain, and recommended the experts to define a programme of action at short, long a medium term.
The two delegations also analyzed the situation in both countries as well as regional and international matters, in the domain of security and stability.
Angola counts on the assistance of Brazil in the creation of the national military industry, as well as strengthening of the defense industry.
Celso Amorim left Luanda this afternoon for Namibia.
