Mandate of UN Office in Burundi extended by one year.
The UN Security Council decided Thursday to extend by one year the mandate of the UN Integrated Office in Burundi (BINUB)
According to a resolution of the UN Security Council, made available to PANA on Friday by the representation of the BINUB in Bujumbura, the nation's capital, the new one-year extension will end in February 2014.
BINUB was established by the United Nations Security Council to support the government of Burundi in its efforts towards long-term peace and stability.
