Stephen Keshi resigns? - Stephen Keshi, who took Nigeria's Super Eagles to their third Nations Cup title in South Africa, may have resigned his appointment, following an alleged fallout with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the local media reported on Monday evening.
However, the resignation is yet to be discussed by the NFF.
Keshi said he turned in his resignation letter on Sunday night, after his team beat the Stallions of Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final in Johannesburg.
The coach, the second man ever to win the Nations Cup as player and coach, was said to have been irked by an alleged plan to sack him if his team had lost the quarter-final match against Cote d'Ivoire.
There were also unconfirmed reports that NFF officials had booked their flights back home ahead of the match, which Nigeria won, thinking the Super Eagles could not have survived again pre-tournament favourite Cote d'Ivoire
The Super Eagles and their officials are due home on Tuesday afternoon.
