Conference to discuss ways of entrenching the rule of law and justice in Libya

14 nations, regional organisations to attend Paris conference on Libya - Representatives from 14 countries and regional organizations have confirmed their participation in an international conference, slated for Tuesday in Paris, France, which will discuss ways of entrenching the rule of law and justice in Libya, organizers of the event told PANA Monday.


The US, AU, Italy, Great Britain, the European Union (EU) will have representatives at the meeting which will be co-chaired by the French foreign affairs minister, Laurent Fabius, and his Libyan counterpart, Mohamed Ahmed Abdelaziz.

According to the organizers, most of the countries will be represented at ministerial level which will identify and define cooperation projects that will be implemented in the field of security, the rule of law and justice in Libya.

The conference is expected to adopt a document containing conclusions on democratic political programmes and concrete projects to be quickly executed.
