Football: 3 Malian clubs engaged away in African football championships

African football championships - Three Malian football clubs will be busy this weekend when they play in the qualifying rounds of the 2014 African Champions league and the Confederation Cup, PANA learnt from the Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT).

Playing in the African Champions league, Stade Malien players have left Bamako for Sao Tome and Principe where they will meet Sporting Da Praia on Saturday.

Also out for a qualifier are players of the AS Real of Bamako who are due in Morocco where they will take on hosts Armed Forces in the same competition.

In the CAF Cup, Club Olympique de Bamako (COB) will be in Tunisia to face Al-Ahly of Tripoli on Sunday at the Tunisian Stadium El Menzah.

The second Malian representative in the CAF Cup, Djoliba, is exempted to emerge from the preliminaries.
