Final match AFCON 2013 - Two Kenyan football enthusiasts will watch the Orange Africa Cup of Nations final live at the National Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, courtesy of integrated telecommunications services provider, Orange.
“Our customers participated in our ‘Tuwakilishe SA’ campaign by sending the serial number of a top up card, of any denomination, to 2270.
Customers won decoders, smart phones and other prizes throughout the tournament and this trip to the finals is the grand prize” said the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Maureen Sande, in a press statement on Saturday
The lucky winners -- John Wambogo Songole and Joseph Mwandairo -- left for the all-expenses-paid trip to the finals on Saturday afternoon.
During the tournament, which ends Sunday, Orange customers enjoyed interactive mobile games and other provisional services, tracking the highlights of the tournament.
Customers followed the competition by subscribing to an SMS alert service via the short code 2220, at a monthly fee of Sh 30.
Football fans will also be able to watch their favourite 2013 AFCON videos all through to March 2013 on their mobile phone.
Moreover, at a monthly rate of Sh 15, subscribers to the Orange network can get updates on their favourite football teams.
