AFCON Final results: Current results shame Argentine magician

In ousting four-time champions, Ghana, the Burkinabes have made nonsense of the forecast by an Argentine magician, Gaston Quieto, who predicted that Ghana would beat Nigeria 3-1 in the final match of the 2013 African Nations Cup in South Africa.

Making the prediction at the occasion of the 2012 African Footballer of the Year award in Accra, Ghana, last December, the Argentine magician even emphatically claimed that Asamoah Gyan would score the third and winning goal for Ghana.

Of course, the crowded hall, made up of mostly Ghanaians found the prediction of the Argentine Illusionist pleasant. He had started by asking a member of the audience to name the country he would like to see in the final.

The answer was obvious. He went further to ask another one to name the country Ghana would beat in the final match. That one named Nigeria.

Further, another one said the score line was going to be 3-1 with Gyan scoring the clincher.

The magician then opened his box to announce that all that had been said were revealed to him in a dream and that would come to past. That dream has now ended in ruins.
