Natural reserve site - Angola and the European Union (EU) Thursday signed a Financing agreement for the conservation of the biodiversity of the Iona Park, Angola's biggest national trans-border natural reserve site.
Situated in Namibe Province, the size of the park is 15,150 square kilometres, according to the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP).
The agreement was signed here by the Angolan Minister of Planning and Territory
Development, Job Graça, a representative of the the coordinator of EU Plan for Development (FED) and the EU ambassador to Angola, Javier Puvol.
The agreement, the first involving the EU in the conservation field of biodiversity in Angola, is worth 10 million Euros.
