The body of a Togolese soldier at the Mali International Support Mission (AFISMA), Sergeant Tchango Atché, aged 38, who died on 1 February in a road accident on the San-Sévaré trunk, was repatriated home Tuesday, official sources told PANA Thursday.
Atché was moving towards the city of San (400 km east of Bamako) to take control of the area where the Togolese contingent is based when the accident took place.
Since the Mali operation against the Jihadists, Atche is the second foreign soldier whose death was made public.
The first was the French pilot, Damien Boiteux, who died in action on 12 January in Konna in the region of Mopti.
