Workshop on green revolution opens in Ghana - A priority setting workshop organized by the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) opens today in Accra Ghana to discuss challenges of attaining an agriculture green revolution in Africa.

The workshop aims at engaging Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other stakeholders to spell out areas of collaboration for priority exercise on engagement, programme content and implementation timetable 2011-2013.

According to background programme documents availed by Maria Mulidi, Associate Programme Officer, AGRA, discussions would center on lack of policies related to quality seeds and support development, and implementation of policies that ensure seed quality assurance consistent with international standards.
