Gaddafi dead: Contradictory versions of how Kadhafi was killed

How Gaddafi was killed - The following are the different versions and contradictory accounts of how former Libyan leader, Mouammar Kadhafi, was killed Thursday in Sirte, as compiled by PANA. First version -- Kadhafi was killed in a NATO bombardment. It said Kadhafi died following injures sustained after the NATO's bombardment of a column of vehicles attempting to flee Sirte, in which he was with several of his close supporters. Second version -- Quoting the Secretary of the executive committee, Mahmoud Djibril: Kadhafi was killed by a bullet in the head during an exchange of fire after he was captured alive by a unit of combatants.

Third version -- From an NTC military commander, Mohamed Leyth: Kadhafi was killed as he was attempting to flee, having jumped out of a car and taken refuge in the rain water evacuation pipes at the West end of the city of Sirte.

No official version from NTC has yet been given to specify exactly how Kadhafi was killed.

Even footages from satellite TV channels beamed the capture of Kadhafi by NTC combatants but how he was killed remained contradictory.

Information from NTC said several supporters of Kadhafi, including his son, Moatassim Bilah, and his minister of defence, Abdelkader Younes Jaber, have been killed, as others, including another Kadhafi son, Seif Ul-Islam, escaped.
