Lagos, Nigeria - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is due to arrive in Nigeria on a two-day working visit SUNday, the local media reported. It would be his first trip to Nigeria since he assumed office as Secretary-General of the global body 1 Jan 2007. During the visit, Ban will meet with President Goodluck Jonathan and Nigeria government officials to discuss various issues, including health and sanitation, regional peace and security, and the situation in Libya.
Nigeria’s contribution to UN peacekeeping operations and development related issues will also be discussed during the short visit.
