Kinshasa, DR Congo - At least 127 people died when an aircraft belonging to the Congolese private airline, Hewa Bora, crashed on Friday afternoon as it landed at Kisangani airport in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Congolese Transport ministry said. A ministry spokesperson said 51 people survived the accident.

The cause of the crash, which occurred in bad weather, is yet to be known.
