Praia, Cape Verde - At least two people have been arrested in Cape Verde following the discovery of several packages suspected to be cocaine on the beaches of Santiago, a Cape Verdean island, the local media reported on Tuesday. They have been arrested for alleged attempted sale of illegal substances. According to Radio Cape Verde (RCV) a fisherman confirmed he found a suitcase containing eight packets of the product on the sea and handed them over to the police.
Innocent children, who did not know what the product was, were found playing with the drug and some people who identified it reportedly approached them offering money in exchange.
