Gambian elected sub-regional Chambers of Commerce president - President of the Gambian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Bai Matarr Drammeh, has been elected president of the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FECWACCI), GCCI said in a statement obtained by PANA here Tuesday.

It said Drammeh was elected to preside over the affairs of the Federation, for the next two years, at its 2nd Annual General Meeting in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.

The meeting was an elective one, as the outgoing six-member bureau, headed by Mr. Wilson Atta Krofah of Ghana, had completed its two-year term.

The other elected members of the bureau are: 1st Vice President (Sierra Leone); 2nd Vice President (Nigeria); 3rd Vice President (Mali); Treasurer (Cote d’Ivoire) and Deputy Treasurer (Togo).
