Rabat, Morocco - The Moroccan national football team will play a friendly with its Senegalese counterpart 10 August in Dakar, the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) announced here Friday. The match is part of the preparations by the Moroccans for the qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2012) that will be jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. According to FRMF, Senegalese coach, Amara Traoré, and the Moroccan handler, Eric Gerets, 'want to rely on this friendly match to prepare their two sides for qualifiers against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Central African Republic respectively, scheduled for September.

On 27 March in Annaba, Algeria beat Morocco 1-0. The second leg is scheduled for 4 June in Casablanca before the Lions' engagement in Bangui.

Morocco is Group D with Algeria, the Central African Republic and Tanzania.
