CAN 2012 Ghana-South Africa - Ghana's Black Stars will play the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a friendly match on Sunday as they prepare for CAN 2012 which opens next weekend in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana's Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic would use the match at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace to assess his side, the Ghana Football Associaation (GFA) said on its website on Saturday.
The team has been based in South Africa and was given a boost on Saturday with recuperating striker Asamoah Gyan joining in training, giving the West Africans hope that he would be fit for the tournament.
GFA said the Black Stars would travel to Franceville in Gabon on 20 January with their opening Group D game coming against newcomers, Botswana, on 24 January.
The Black Stars will follow up their opener with fixtures against West African rivals, Mali, four days later and Guinea on 1 February.
