Football - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Malian Souleymane Magassouba coordinator for the 2012 African Cup of Nations, to be jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, PANA learnt Monday from the Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT).
With the appointment, Magassouba will visit the proposed venues and this will be followed by the draw on 29 October in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to be attended by the heads of state of the two host countries.
Former player of Stade Malien de Bamako, Mali, and member of FEMAFOOT, Magassouba is also a CAF/FIFA security officer.
