China basketball tourney - Angola ended in fourth place at the an international basketball tournament of Guangzou, China, as it was defeated Tuesday by the host country 62-54.

The Angolans are using the China tournament as well as other international contests as preparations for the Africa Nations Basketball Championship, scheduled for 17 to 28 August in Tananarive, Madagascar.

This is their third international tourney, having participated in tournaments Guimaraes, Portugal, where they finished third.

The Angolan team left China Tuesday for Tananarive, where it will play in the same group as Senegal, Morocco and Chad for the Afrobasket.
