FIFA U-20 WC-Colombia: Nigeria is top scoring nation

FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia - With a total of 10 goals from two matches, Nigeria now leads 23 other nations as the top goal-scoring team so far at the ongoing FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia.

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria beat Guatemala 5-0 in their opening group D match and followed it up with a 5-2 victory over Croatia to amass a total of 10 points, two more than closest rival Saudi Arabia, which has so far scored 8 goals in two matches.

Host Colombia and Spain are next on six goals apiece, followed by Brazil, France and Costa Rica on four each.

Three more Nigerian players have also joined Edafe Egbedi on the top goal scoring chart for players.

After Wednesday's match against Croatia, Ahmed Musa, Uche Nwafor and Olanrewaju Kayode have all now scored two goals each to join Egbedi as the leading goalscorers.

Eight other players have scored two goals each, indicating that the competition to win the tournament's top scorer award (Golden Boot) will be keenly contested.
