The President of Namibia, Mr. Hifikepunye Pohamba, has expressed sadness at the death of 17 people in the crash of an Angola Air Force plane crash at Albano Machado Airport, in the city of Huambo, on Wednesday.

In a message he sent to Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos, President Pohamba condoled with the government and people of Angola.

The message was presented to the Angolan Minister of Geology, Mining and Industry, Joaquim David, during an audience with the Namibian President.

Another plane operated by the Angolan Air Force crashed on Thursday, killing the pilot.
