Brussels, Belgium - The European Union (EU) has condemned the abduction of three humanitarian workers -- two Spaniards and one Italian -- from a camp for Sahrawi refugees near Tindouf, in South-western Algeria, according to a communiqué from the European Commission Services here Tuesday.
In the communiqué, the EU appealed for the immediate release of three hostages, saying that it was working in close collaboration with Italian and Spanish authorities to secure their release.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the abduction of the three hostages.
