The team, known as the Desert Hawks, are currently training in Doha, Qatar, where it will play the first friendly against newly-promoted local team Al-Jaish.
The Sudanese will then play Tunisia in Dubai on 9 Jan and Senegal in Dakar on 12 Jan, before flying to Gabon for the Nations Cup.
Sudan, which hosted the first edition of the Nations Cup in 1957, are in group B of the 2012 tournament with Cote d’Ivoire, Angola and Burkina Faso.
The Desert Hawks will start their campaign against the Elephants the day after the tournament's opening.
