Angolan airline to add two new aircraft in European flights

Brussels, Belgium - The air safety commission of the European Union (EU) on Monday decided to authorize the Angolan airline, TAAG, to add two new aircraft for Eoropean flights.

Angola would add two Boeing B-777-300 to its fleet sto land at European airports.

In a communiqué on Monday, the EU congratulated Angola's civil aviation authorities  for the progress made from the point of view of air safety for TAAG planes.

Angola is the only sub-Saharan country to have left the black list of countries whose aircraft are banned from flying to Europe.

TAAG aircraft can land in Lisbon, Portugal. The Angolan government must now undertake negotiations with other EU countries to secure authorizations required.
