Fuel stations - Many fuel stations in Abuja yesterday stopped selling petrol to motorists after the announcement of fuel subsidy removal by the federal government, Daily Trust observed yesterday.
The stations suddenly closed shops and stopped dispensing the fuel to motorists who queued to buy the product. The stations included all the major marketers and the independent marketers.
Others shut down most of the pumps, selling at one or two points, even as motorists formed long queues.
Some motorists told Daily Trust that they were trying to buy fuel because they don't know what the situation would be by the time workers resumed from the New Year holiday.
In some other stations, buyers were forced into buying injector cleaners before they are allowed to fill their tanks.
