Ghanaian Muslim pilgrims fly to Mecca - The first batch of Ghanaian Muslim pilgrims flew to Mecca on Friday night on board an Egypt Air flight.
The 266 pilgrims were those who could not perform the hajj last year although they had paid for the annual pilgrimage, an official of the Hajj Agents Association said.
Egypt Air is expected to fly 4,300 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in 14 batches between 14 October and 4 November.
The pilgrims would be accommodated at the Hajj Village in Accra for effective coordination and departure formalities.
