FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia - Nigeria, Africa's sole remaining team at the ongoing 2011 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, will meet France in the quarter-final, according to the last eight fixtures issued by world soccer's governing body FIFA Thursday.
The fixtures, compiled after all the round of 16 matches were completed, also showed that host Colombia will tackle Mexico; Portugal will go against Argentina while Brazil will confront Spain.
Nigeria, Spain, Brazil and France became the last set of teams to reach the quarter-final on Wednesday night (early hours of Thursday in most of Africa) when they won their round of 16 matches.
Nigeria beat England 1-0, Spain defeated Korea Republic 7-6 on penalties after both teams deadlocked at full and extra time, Brazil dispatched Saudi Arabia 3-0 while France pipped Ecuador 1-0.
The quarter-final matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday
