Mauritanian media workers observe No Press Day - The Mauritanian Press Coalition (RPM) on Wednesday observed the 'No Press Day' to protest the 100 per cent increase in the cost of printing paper announced by the government on 2 Jan.
RPM President Mamadou Sy said despite an order from the Minister of Communications, the Director-General of the National Printing Office has yet to cancel the increase.
RPM's members include newspapers and online news sites.
