CAF Confederation Cup: 7 clubs reach group stage

Football-Egypt - Seven clubs have reached the group stage of the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup, after weekend matches across the continent. The clubs are ASEC Mimosas (Cote d'Ivoire), Sunshine Stars and Kaduna United (Nigeria), MAS (Morocco), JS Kabylie (Algeria), Club Africain (Tunisia) and Interclube (Angola). The last qualifier will emerge in two weeks time, after the match between Daring Club Motema Pembe of DR Congo and Simba of Tanzania.

ASEC, Interclube, Club Africain and Kaduna United have been drawn into Group A while JS Kabylie, MAS, Sunshine Stars and the winner of Simba/Motema Pembe tie are in Group B.

Competition in the group stage will start mid-July.
