Lagos, Nigeria - The Nigeria police have launched an investigation into the death of six members of a family in Uli, South-east Anambra state, this weekend.
The family members - a mother, her three children, a maid and the maid's mother - were all found dead in their residence Saturday morning.
Though the cause of the deaths is yet unknown, neighbours suspected they could have died of food poisoning after a meal the previous night, or of carbon monoxide poisoning from generator fumes.
The family's patriarch was said to be out of town at the time of the incident.
