Brussels, Belgium - The European Union (EU) will on Friday partially lift sanctions imposed on Libyan oil companies, an EU spokesperson said on Thursday in Brussels.
The measure will affect 28 Libyan oil companies out of a total of 5O oil entities hit by the EU targeted snctions, the source said.
It added that other sanctions will be lifted on the basis of a UN Security Council decicion.
NATO on its part issued a communiqué in Brussels to announce that the Tripoli port is operational and ships carrying goods and humanitarian aid can dock there.
